Here's how the program works:
Participants will enjoy the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy generated by FPL’s large-scale solar energy centers, without the cost and concerns of doing it on their own.
As a participant:
- You can subscribe to have up to 100% of your energy usage to come from solar.
- You will see immediate bill savings – the program is designed so that your subscription credits will be larger than your subscription charge
- A low, fixed monthly subscription charge will be added to your monthly energy bill.
- The subscription charge is guaranteed to remain the same while you are in the program.
- You will receive monthly subscription credits from day one for your share of the solar energy generated.

What is the FPL SolarTogether SunAssist Program?
- The FPL SolarTogether SunAssist program, a component of FPL SolarTogether, was created to provide low income customers an opportunity to participate and share in the benefits of Florida-generated solar energy.
- For the purposes of this program, low income customers include customers who participate in certain state, federal, or local assistance programs, such as the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), or the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), and are preapproved to participate in the program.
Who can participate in the FPL SolarTogether SunAssist Program?
- Customers who participate in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), or the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
- The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to subscription availability.
What if the program is sold out and I want to participate?
- If FPL SolarTogether is fully subscribed, you will be able to join a waitlist and will be notified when more subscriptions become available.
- Customers who are on the waitlist will be notified based on the order you joined the waitlist and will have 14 days to enroll. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time.
- Subscription availability can occur when an:
- Capacity becomes available as new solar energy centers become operational
- Existing participant decreases their subscription; or
- Existing participant unsubscribes from the FPL SolarTogether program

The FPL SolarTogether SunAssist program is a Florida Public Service Commission approved limited subscription offering. Subscriptions will be filled on a first come first serve basis. As such, FPL cannot guarantee subscription availability for all customers who wish to enroll. Enrollees are subject to the program terms and conditions. Participating customers may elect a subscription size that represents up to 100% of their previous 12-month electricity usage as determined by FPL.
